The Electrophoresis laboratory separates biomolecules by electrophoresis, a laboratory method that applies to various biological fluids of the body (blood serum, urine, Cerebrospinal fluid-CSF, nasal, ear, pleural and ascetic fluid).<\/p>

Furthermore, the qualitative detection of oligoclonal antibodies in the CSF is performed by isoelectric focusing (IEF) and immunoprecipitation (IP) with anti-Ig G antiserum. In combination with the nephelometric determination of IgG\/Albumin ratio, the test contributes significantly to the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS). Likewise, this method is performed for the detection of beta-2 transferrin in nasal fluid, which as a modified form of transferrin with an exclusive presence in CSF can be used as an endogenous tracer to detect possible CSF leakage in body\u2019s biological fluids.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
