In any case, BIOIATRIKI Healthcare Group is the first private Primary Health Care provider that recognized the necessity of the application of QMS with rational, scientific, operational, and environmental standards.
Medical Laboratory Accreditation – ISO 15189
Yiannoukas Medical Laboratories was the first private medical laboratory that recognized the necessity of the application of ISO Standards in Cyprus.
The accreditation of its clinical laboratories is based on a series of objective criteria to prove their technical ability. Since the first initial accreditation until today, the two clinical laboratories of BIOIATRIKI Healthcare Group in Limassol and Nicosia carry out a wide range of accredited medical tests which are constantly enriched.
Some of the most important benefits arising from QMS include the achievement of a high and stable level of services due to the standardization of procedures, the increase of confidence in the medical test results of the patients and our social partners and the awareness of our workforce on issues related to the quality of services we provide.
QMS is the philosophy of a Continuous Quality Improvement of all activities oriented towards the best possible satisfaction of the patients’ needs and it is not limited to the certification and accreditation of the departments.

Accredited QMS and Environmental Management System
Our Diagnostic Department, Alpha EVRESIS, is under accredited QMS and Environmental Management System (ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004) and complies with the European Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) Regulation.
During our QMS design, were considered:
- the CYS ΕΝ ISO 9001:2008,
- the EMAS 1221/2009 & CYS ΕΝ ISO 14001:2004,
- our patients’ needs, and
- the laws, regulations and standards governing the operation of our activities, including matters related to occupational safety and health.
This design is implemented through procedures with specific objectives and is evaluated by both internal and external inspections. Our aim is the timely response of our doctors and our personnel to the patients’ needs, through the continuous improvement of the efficiency of the applied procedures.
Our goal is to respond in the best possible way to the patients’ needs and to meet their expectations, providing excellent quality laboratory and diagnostic services by providing necessary resources, well-trained personnel, and modern equipment.
Specialized medical and paramedical personnel
Currently, our Diagnostic Department ALPHA EVRESIS employs 6 outstanding radiologists with excellent knowledge of the subject, who are assisted by similarly experienced and fully trained, nursing, and paramedical personnel as well as specialized radiologic technologists.
Everyone works diligently on their respective tasks and always for the best service for the patients. At the same time, the Department can utilize a plethora of additional specialized radiologists of Bioiatriki Healthcare Group for any second opinion or specialized diagnoses.
Yiannoukas Medical Laboratories employs Microbiologists – Biopathologists, specialist scientists with postgraduate and doctoral degrees, an enormous number of laboratory technologists in the laboratories of Nicosia and Limassol, and specialized personnel in our sample collection centers all over Cyprus.
In addition, we employ a plethora of specialized administrative staff who compose a strong and complete working group that can work holistically and offer its services to any medical test or service required by the public.
